An update on a well-earned summer sabbatical from Paula:
Dear Left Hand Family,
For 35 years I served with an international church planting organization, 25 of them as CEO and board chair. We started scores of churches, but I never experienced the honor of serving as a pastor of one of them.
That all changed five years ago this month when I signed on as a founding co-pastor of Left Hand Church. It was good to start the church with Jen and Aaron, and over the past two years it has been an incredible honor to work alongside co-pastors John, Kristie, and Nicole, and the rest of our great staff.
Acknowledging my five years of service with Left Hand, our board of elders has graciously granted a two-month sabbatical to me, beginning this week. Come late July, I will return to my regular pastoral duties, as we all move into a wonderful fall together. In the meantime, Nicole and Kristie will be covering pastoral responsibilities, and our elders will be stepping up their involvement as guardians and guides of the congregation.
I hope the start of your summer is wonderful, and I look forward to seeing you all in late July.
A note from the Elder Board:
We’re pleased we can offer this time of honor and renewal to Paula, and we trust that if you have pastoral needs or questions over the next two months, you will contact Nicole, Kristie, or one of the Left Hand elders. This will allow Paula to fully appreciate her sabbatical time.
