What We Believe About Baptism
Along with communion, baptism is one of the two sacraments, or ordinances, of the church. Both are symbols of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Left Hand Church practices baptism of those who want to personally commit to following the way of Christ – to love God, love their neighbors, and love themselves. Baptism services are held a few times a year. Our baptisms are open for any unbaptized adult (or young adult), as well as adults who were baptized as infants and want to re-experience the sacrament as an adult.

Left Hand’s Next Baptism Celebration
We typically host an opportunity for adult baptism at least annually. Since our baptism are full water immersions, these typically happen in August when the water is warm enough.
Our 2021 Baptism Celebration will take place on Saturday, 8/28/21 at 5:30pm MT, at Flanders Park on the shores of McIntosh Lake in Longmont. If you are interested in being baptized at this event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 8/28/21 Baptism Celebration will be followed at 6pm by our August community potluck dinner at the park pavillion, so bring something to share. We’ll provide plates, plasticware and non-alcoholic beverages. FYI, alcohol is not permitted in the park. Kayaking and stand up paddling are allowed on McIntosh Lake, so feel free to wear your suits and bring your boats and boards (they do not have a rental concession on site).
Please see our events calendar for date, location and details.
