Dear Left Hand Church Family,
After deep consideration and prayer, our Lead Pastor, Jen Jepsen, has decided to resign from Left Hand Church, effective May 2nd. We know this news comes as a surprise to many of you, but we can assure you that Jen did not make this decision lightly; she deeply loves our community and she has nurtured it well. We want to honor Jen’s vision over the past four years for Left Hand, without which our community would not exist. We also want to honor her path, and we trust that she is making the best choice for herself and her family.
The Left Hand Church Leadership Council is meeting consistently to discuss our path forward, and we would like to provide the opportunity for you to ask questions and share your feelings about Jen’s departure. We believe the best way to facilitate this is through your Left Hand Branch groups and we will facilitate Branch meetings towards this end.
Please know that, while we don’t have all the answers right now, the Leadership Council is
prayerful about our community’s needs while assessing the next steps to ensure that our community continues to thrive. We will enter into an interim period before any major decisions are made, but we will communicate with all of you regularly.
We regret that we can’t meet in person, yet, to celebrate Jen and express our gratitude for her leadership — but we are grateful for her. It is our hope that we will collectively carry forward the Left Hand vision of providing a faith community that affirms and welcomes everyone.
With love and appreciation for each and every one of you,
The Left Hand Leadership Council:
